About Black Fashion
Career Day
Black Fashion Career Day (BFCD) is the flagship program of Black Fashion World Foundation, designed to operationalize access for BIPOC fashion talent through direct connection with industry leaders. In a relationship-driven industry that remains opaque and difficult to navigate, BFCD closes the information gap by providing real career transmission—not just inspiration.
Why BFCD Exists
22%
of Black professionals have access to a mentor
70%
increase in entrepreneurial success through mentorship
65%
of Black students rely on federal loans, creating long-term financial barriers

Voices
What They’re Saying
“I felt both seen and energized by the conversations around access, opportunity, and
legacy in the $1.84T fashion industry… I wore my Christopher John Rogers dress—
which made me feel confident, powerful, and right at home in a space centered on
Black creativity and excellence.”
Rose Rebecca Jackson, Esq.
“Today I found the support I didn’t even know I needed. There was no gatekeeping—
just empowerment, transparency, and real connection. I’ll be back every time they
host it. It was amazing!”
Prentiss Anais
“The fashion industry isn’t easy to break into—but this event showed me that it’s
possible.”
